Description
While graffiti, the art of writing, drawing, or painting on the walls or surfaces of a structure, dates back to prehistoric and ancient times, contemporary graffiti, also known as hip-hop graffiti, arose in the 1960s in New York City’s Black and Latino neighbourhoods alongside hip-hop music and street subcultures, and was fueled by the invention of the aerosol spray can.
The splash series is inspired by the vibrant colour splashes prevalent in several street art genres, clashing beautifully to form a harmonious whole. These pink and red discs are accentuated with matching glass beads and hypoallergenic stainless steel ear wires.
